Kim Delaney was an American actress. She is most famous for her role as detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she received the Emmy Award. Delaney was the sole child of the United Auto Workers senior executive as well as a domestic worker was raised with her four brothers and sisters. When she was a little girl, Delaney hoped to be a court-reporter. However, in high school the time came when she began modeling commercials, she moved to New York. The professional life she has had is much more lucrative than her personal life. The talented actress was afflicted with alcoholism throughout her life and had two marriages that failed.
